Experiential learning at EGT
On Monday, May 15th, 2023, we, the third-year students, experienced our French lessons in a different way than usual. As a part of our lesson about recipes and foods, we prepared a typical French dish, quiche Lorraine.
The first step was to make the recipe, which we had borrowed from our French friends. While we were translating the recipe, we learned French phrases about cooking and baking, as well as vocabulary for buying ingredients.
We would like to thank our teacher, J. Ovčiariková, to whom we owe our gratitude for this special method of teaching, which we will surely remember forever. After all, as they say, it is better to experience something once than to hear about it 100 times.
Our Recipe:
ÉTAPE 1
Etaler la pâte dans un moule à tarte et tapisser le fond de râpé.
ÉTAPE 2 - Faire revenir les lardons (sans les faire dorer) et étaler les sur le râpé.
ÉTAPE 3 - Battre les 3 oeufs, ajouter la crème fraîche et assaisonner.
ÉTAPE 4 - Verser le mélange sur les lardons et recouvrer de râpé.
ÉTAPE 5 - Faire cuire environ 30 min, th.6 (180°): jusqu'à ce que le râpé soit fondu et légèrement doré.
